Queremos felicitar a nuestro atleta Osvaldo Barreto por el 13° puesto obtenido el la general y quedando entre los 5 mejores clasificados de los atletas argentino, en la Maratón Internacional, en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, el día 07/092012,  donde participaron mas 8.000 atletas, entre ellos muchos atletas extranjeros.

Fiesta de homenaje a la legendaria figura del atletismo villeguense OSCAR HORACIO BARRETO. Agrupación Atlética Villeguense agasajara con una cena show a la máxima leyenda del deporte de nuestra ciudad. La cena se llevara a cabo el día 27 de octubre de 2012 a las 21 Hs. 	El atleta de Hurlingham, Marcos Billén  se quedo con la victoria en la Maraton Bodas de Oro que se llevó a cabo el 16 de Septiembre en Gral. Villegas. La competencia, organizada por la Agrupación Atlética Villeguense, se disputo sobre una distancia de 10 km en dos vueltas a un circuito céntrico, con largada en la Municipalidad, congregando a mas de 110 competidores. Billen estableció un tiempo de 00:29.31, para  quedarse con el triunfo, siendo escoltado por el local Osvaldo Barreto y por el trenquelauquense Guillermo Villalobos. Entre las Damas, fue triunfo  de la entrerriana Nancy Gallo, quien estableció un tiempo de 00:33:38, siendo escoltada por la riocuartense Maria Susana Benitez y por Marisa Prado de Carlos Casares.
